All cocktails and bites will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">\u00a0Thursday, July 18 from 10:30AM &#8211; 12:30PM\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Alongside Cognac Ambassador David Boileau, Cognac Educators Allen Katz (New York Distilling Company) and Ms. Franky Marshall (Modern Bartender) will examine the different factors that affect cognac in a Brand Education that is part panel discussion, part tasting.<\/p>\n<p>Moderated by Chris Patino of Raised by Wolves, <i>When Small Considerations Have Big Effects \u2014 Cognac Experts Sound Off <\/i>will weigh in on how grapes, soil, terroir, aging and more individually and collectively influence<\/p>\n<p>cognac. A tasting of eight cognacs from different producers will illustrate these varying factors, and a Q&amp;A will follow. The BNIC is responsible for organizing the production of Cognac and respond to market needs; informing about, protecting and promoting the Cognac appellation; facilitating access to markets; furthering relations between merchants and winegrowers; recording sales and exports; administering the aging control system; issuing authentication certificates for exports; and acting as the official body that and safeguards the Cognac appellation. It is made up of 100 staff members. In 1909, the Cognac area of production was delimited, and in 1936 it became an AOC. In 1989, the Cognac appellation was recognized as a Geographical Indication by the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full
